  • Testing the new site!

    you have to start somewhere

Finally getting the new version of the site off the ground. It's been really crazy starting grad school, but I really want to get my "personal hub" in place.

The idea behind the new site is to build my own site from the ground up and have it aggregate all of my web content in one spot. I'm working on the tools to bring in tweets, foursquare checkins, buzz and reader updates, github pushes, flickr posts, last.fm updates, and anything else I can think of.

I'll be updating the code as much as I can, and as new needs arise. For instance, the way I'm pulling the tweets on the right is really stupid, so I'm building a streams app to do this right and pull from any other service with a decent API. I'm also planning a redesign to make this less of a blog and more of a stream.

If I do things the right way, you could use this platform I'm building too. We'll see how that goes being a first year grad student and all - I'm just excited to have a fresh look here.
